Brothers,

I hope all of you are had a great Holiday break. I just wanted to give you all an update on FourCorps 2010.

We have been hard at work since the last FourCorps 2010 update and continue to work closely with the USFS where we are finalizing our list of projects as seen in the new video on the Section home page. Let me tell you, there's a LOT of work for us to do, as you can see!

The current priority list of projects is as follows: blocking off several illegal roads by planting trees at the road way entrances, thinning (removing) pine trees that are too close to each other to successfully grow, removing invasive species/clearing a section of the forests perimeter, planting natural vegetation to restore a lake’s surrounding area, building bear boxes for a family campground, building kestrel boxes, and lastly, removing an invasive species from a fresh water springs.

In order for us to be successful in completing this list of projects we need all of you to make a huge push for people to register. I urge you, advertise this event heavily at your next lodge function with posters and flyer's. Post an article about it on your lodge website. Do something! Each lodge is being given 500 dollars to use for promotions, so be sure to use it to promote. The registration deadline is May 1st, and registration after this date will cost you and extra $50 late fee.

Lastly, I want to conclude by saying that I know FourCorps 2010 will be a huge success, but you must remember that it will take all of us to make it happen. As I've said before, if you want to enjoy the advantages of the Order, you have to be willing to accept its Obligation.

Yours in Cheerful Service,
Matt Hall
